Recycling
Pick Up
Recyclables are
picked up weekly, the same day as your garbage pick up (see
schedule below). Recycling is picked up separately from your
garbage, at a different time of day. There is no alley pick up
for recycling. All recycling must be placed curbside by 6 p.m.
on the day proceeding your pick-up day.
All recycling
must be placed in an authorized bin, available through Crown
Disposal (Village’s contracted disposal company). To obtain
a bin, please call Crown at (708) 485-0900.

If materials left for
recycling pick-up cannot be removed, a "Sorry Note" will be
placed explaining why the materials could not be collected for
recycling.

Holiday
Garbage Pick-Up Schedule
When regularly
scheduled garbage pick-up days fall on a legal holiday,
garbage pick up is delayed one day. In other words, if your
regular pick up day is on Monday and it is a legal holiday,
your pick up will be moved until Tuesday. If your pick-up day
is Friday and it falls on a holiday, your pick-up day will be
moved until Monday.

Holidays
The legal
holidays observed by the Village are: New Year’s Day,
Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day.
