VILLAGE OF BROADVIEW ORGANIZATION
The Village of Broadview has a Village President (Mayor) and Trustees (6 in all) form of government. The Village President (Mayor), Clerk and Trustees are elected officials. The Trustees are elected at large (not from any specific boundary area in the Village).
The attorney, auditor, building commissioner, collector, engineer, fire chief, police chief, public works director and finance director/treasurer are appointed positions selected by the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees also appoints several other boards and commissions, including the Zoning Board of Appeals, Fire & Police Commission, Planning Commission and Civil Service Commission.
The appointed individuals report to the Mayor and Board of Trustees.
Village Board Business Meetings
The Village Board meetings are the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month beginning at 7:30 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL.
Committee & Department Head Meeting
The Committees and Department Heads meetings are on the 3rd Monday of each month beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal building at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL. They meet and report to the Board as part of the agenda of regular business meeting of the Board on the 3rd Monday of the month.
